Bourbon pineapple BBQ sauce In a medium sauce pan sauté the onions on medium heat until slightly translucent, then add the garlic. Sauté for another minute or two until the garlic is just soft, then add all other ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes. Simmering the sauce burns off the alcohol leaving just the flavor of the bourbon. Allow to cool then put in a blender or use your immersion blender to make the sauce smooth and meld the flavors.
It can be served right away but letting it set in the fridge overnight will allow the flavors to meld even more.
It typically taste better the next day. |
